This Old House

First, I noticed that some have you have come over from other blogs and I am so happy that you did. I would have to say that is probably my favorite part of blogging. I feel like I am getting to know people that otherwise I would have never met but, I guess that is the whole point. Anyway, I am happy that you stopped by and I look forward to getting to know you!

Next, the reason for my post. I am not sure what has come over me but, I have this over whelming urge to redo my entire house. I am talking the bathrooms, the window treatments (if you could call what I have window treatments), bedrooms, the WHOLE house! I have no idea where this is coming from or what on earth I am going to do about it. I would like to say that I will go room by room and start but, I doubt this happens. I am not too creative nor am I very gifted in the whole making the house cute area. Then there is the whole budget issue. I can't really go out and buy all that I would like to in order to change things up. I am hoping that if I can clean out and de-clutter maybe I will feel better and be able to settle on a few minor adjustments. We will see. Any suggestions anyone can give would be very appreciated. I know that there are lots of you out there that have a real gift in this area :)

I hope that you all have a wonderful day tomorrow. The weekend is almost here and it will be "Thankful Thursday" or "I heart Thursday". Whichever you play or whatever you call it, I hope you will take just a minute to remind yourself of all you have to be thankful for.

  1. I am awful at decorating too! I see what other people can do to their homes and it just makes me jealous. I would love it if every room in my house could look like a Pottery Barn picture, but who has the money for that.

has something she calls mistreatments and she makes most all of her window treatments.... they look amazing and they always surprise me at how little she did to make them.
I have a few more that I have found but these are my favorites! Good Luck!

  3. Girl im feeling ya! Me and Kelly talked for an hour yesterday about how we're ready to re-do our whole house...well, besides my kitchen since I did just do that. Just take it one room at a time...and I'll be more than happy to help!
